Can someone explain/update to me on the current status of crypto and blockchain and compare to Ezra’s past positions on it?

I remember there being a lot of crypto/blockchain episodes a couple years ago and Ezra would sort of highlight blockchain’s usefulness (what that is wasn’t always clear to me) and now I don’t hear much from him on that. I can’t expect him to always be writing about crypto, of course, and there are probably more important things to discuss right now. But would you guys say, in general, that the whole blockchain and crypto hype sort of dropped off or have there been interesting developments?I’m specifically thinking about Ezra’s interview with the Ethereum founder and wondered how any of this actually mattered. via /r/ezraklein https://ift.tt/SsXdaVf
