Advice need on Blockchain voting system as a project

Hey guys. I'm a 3rd year software engineering student. I've chosen a blockchain based voting system as my final year project. I've done a bit of work on the Ethereum ecosystem and have good general knowledge of blockchain in general. I just want to know if making a legit and complete blockchain based voting application is a step too far or is it achievable?
